How much is a life worth

How much should you spend to save a life? How indebt should you go? Should you sell your house, cash out the kids college funds/savings, empty out the 401k??? How do you know when enough is enough? You can only beg your friends for so long. Life is hard and I'm willing to fight but at what cost and is there a correct answer?

Laura,

What tough questions! Your seeking answers that no one really has, but I can tell you that when you pray and God will answer. Sometimes it is not the answer we want, but he knows better than anyone. God can give you the peace that your searching whether to cash out the kids college funds/savings...he can tell you whether to sell the house or empty the 401k. When you ask him what to do he will give you the answer and the peace that comes with it in that knowing your doing the right thing. You were born a fighter and inspire everyone you come in contact with. Your an amazing person with a strong fight. God gave you those qualities for a reason ask him, wait and listen to which direction he wants you to go!!

Love Heather

Laura,
I just found your blog and don't know how I did, other than prayer to God that we reconnect. You ask questions I have asked so often! I sat next to you during IV treatments at PM and I believe I was still on oxygen. My doctors had given up on me (not the PM ones) and it was only through a series of miracles I made it....and a TON of money!! I often asked myself, "When is enough, enough?" The only ones who can answer that question are your family. You can't answer that question. My husband cashed out his retirement fund and stocks and everything else he could think of, and he did it HAPPILY just to have me alive for one more day. You are the most important thing in their lives. You didn't come into the world with one cent and your not leaving with any more. I am absolutely THRILLED to have found your blog and to be able to "talk" to you and see you are still fighting. You have a beautiful family. Invest in love which it looks like you have in abundance.
Now, to identify myself....I'm the one who gave you the prayer blanket my mother knit for me.
God bless,
Julie
