Friends and Disney, can't ask for more.

My friends from Cali are flying in this weekend to hang and have fun and all i can think of is taking them to all my favorite restaurants. Whats another 10 pounds... There are so many fun things to do in the ATL, but food sounds so much better on steroids. Then for Sammy's birthday we are off to Disney for a great, fun, relaxing trip together. I love when we can just spend time together away from the hospital, school, obligations, etc.

Gavin on the other hand is going thru the terrible 3 1/2 stage. He is soooooooo challenging, but so cute at the same time. I cant wait until this phase is over. Sammy is being so good with him and helping me so much. This will get her so ready for her two new little brothers who will be arriving soon, Joshua & Henry. Sammy is still beside herself that all she wanted was a little sister and she is going to have 3 little brothers. BTW, Dr. Deb, Sammy's step mom, is the pregnant one not me.

Well I'm having a sleepless night so feel free to text, email, blog, FB, whatever!

Have a great night sleeping,
Laura

St Baldricks

Travis is shaving his head again for St Baldricks. If you have not heard of St. Baldricks go to www.stbaldricks.org. They are an organization that raises money for childhood cancer research. He and I shaved our heads at Fado in 2007 when we first were diagnosed.

Go to https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/tvickers to donate to the cause.

Love my family

Gavin's been running around YELLING "Happy Valentines Day Mommy, I love you" and Sammy wants to get me pink roses. Travis took us to breakfast and we are sitting around watching the Olympics after a fun day at the park and snow ball fights. These amazing days remind me why fighting is so important and why i am so thankful for all of you and your help. My new schedule is complicated, but worth every second if i can keep this pesky tumor at bay. Tuesday's and Thursdays i have chemo, Mondays and Wednesdays are alternative treatments to boost my immune system, and I am trying to take Fridays off. We will see if it works. I did take this Friday off and had a wonderful breakfast with a friend and got to hang with the kids since they had 1/2 day.

We will scan again in a few weeks to see if this new treatment is working. It is kind of crazy because the only way to know if this is all working is to scan, but the radiation from the scans can cause Leukemia. So say your prayers that we can keep this from happening or spreading more.

Happy Valentines Day
