Today

Well, I am just taking one day at a time and am feeling okay today. I do have my share of tears and frustration, but can only worry about today. I can feel my tumor and it is a little uncomfortable. My pants feel tight all the time, so I told Travis that I might have to start wearing elastic wasted pants. Due to the pressure on my liver it does make me feel nauseous so I can't eat that much and certain foods make me feel terrible like cheese. It is nice knowing why I feel this way since before i just felt like crap all the time. Anyways, I have my echocardiogram tomorrow and will start my chemo on Wednesday. If I could just get rid of this head cold life would be so much better.

Any who, all your messages make my day, thanks!

Hi, I agree one day at a time is great! You amaze me that you feel like crap but you can still get up and out there to run. You truly are an inspiration girl. Take care. Tab

Cheese is overrated anyway.

You inspired me to look up the lyrics to the TV show One Day at a Time. Here you go:

This is it. This is it.
This is life, the one you get
So go and have a ball.

This is it. This is it
Straight ahead and rest assured
You can’t be sure at all.

So while you’re here enjoy the view
Keep on doing what you do
So hold on tight we'll muddle through
One day at a time, One day at a time.

So up on your feet. Up on your feet
Somewhere there’s music playing.
Don’t you worry none
We’ll just take it like it comes.

One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.

It's not Pat Benetar mind you - but I hadn't thought of that show (or song) for eons. I'm also notorious for messing up song lyrics and only now do I realize all the years later it does not say "So wop on your feet cuz there's good music playing." Gosh I'm such a dork :\

Hugs to you today! :)

Laura, I've been thinking about my response to your last 2 posts all day. They were quite a reality check. I've known you a long time, my friend, and I know you have it in you to fight this fight. You are tough. Remember that. And remember that you are loved and have so many people here to support you and help in any way possible. Although the response from people on your blog is a testament to how many lives you have touched and how many people love you dearly, the true number of people is much more than that. I have people all the time ask me how you are and say that they are sending prayers and well wishes your way. I don't know if I told you, but I even had a coworker that added your name to her shirt listing the people she was walking for at the breast cancer 3-day walk. Anyway, keep up your amazing attitude, girlfriend!

Hey Girl~

As always thought of you a lot today and because of you I realized I shouldn't get so frusted or want to flip off the driver driving next to me, want to tell my daughters teacher to chill out, or want to kick Stovers ass for messing up my computor that still doesn't work.

Everytime I have days like this you realy do get me to just stop being in a bad mood and be thankful for everyday I have here.

I wish I could take all of this away for you.

We need to get to Georgia and help you get your mind off everythng for a day or two....Lets us know if you are still thinking January..

Love Ya--HAM
