New Treatment

I went for my first treatment of Taxol. Although it took forever, i had no allergic reactions. I have eleven more treatments and have to go once a week instead of every other Monday. So my last day of treatment is on my birthday, July 23... I will have surgery 3 weeks after that and start radiation 4 weeks after that. I feel pretty good today, but the side effects show up on the 4th day and consist of joint pain, but i am not complaining because i don't feel nauseous and my hair could start growing back. Very excited.

Talk to you soon

What a great birthday present! You will have conquered one phase of your battle...or should I say one leg of your race. Of course when your hair grows back it will mean buying all of those hair care products again. Whats a little joint pain when you can give up hugging the toilet. I do admire your winning attitude and love the way you seen to lace a little humor in with every dreadful thing you have to endure.

Love all of you,

Hi,
Yes, I'm still here too, checking in a lot and always thinking about you. Good to hear about your hair - here here!!! Never really thought about there being three different hairs. Ham, my mom and I did have a great visit with your dad and we even got to talk with your mom. As Ham said, the anniversary album was incredible. Happy (early) Mother's Day to you....and your mom.....actually to all the moms the read this!! Take care of yourself.

Yeah, hey, sorry too, I've been busy practicing my bass guitar riffs for "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" for the reunion tour. I too am glad that there is a forecast for no more nausea, however, I will have to stop shipment on the 12lb box of Honeycombs I was sending your way to cure that stomache. ("Milk me! Someone just please milk me!!") Also, wanted to let you know that I'll be running in the Race for the Cure tomorrow at CalExpo and will proudly have a sign on my back in support of you. =) Of course, when I said running, I really meant franticly searching for the taco & margarita tent! Have a wonderful mama's day woman!!!!!

Hey Laura,
Any joint pain yet? Hope you got all your running in early in the week. Enjoy the last weekend with your mom and Mother's Day. We'll all be thinking about you on Monday. By the way, I think I should fly up to Sacto to watch Janice "run" and I should be drunk at the finish line to great her, just for a little payback. What do you think?

Hey Girl,
I've been thinking about you a lot, especially yesterday when I took my brood to see Shrek 3 and your sappy song made an appearance; you know-the one from the 70's where the lady says, "I haven't been to California (or something) but I've been to me(or is it the other way around?). Anyway, let'e get together soon!
Love,
Tuyet

'Sup Laura?! Glad to hear you are doing well and not feeling as icky as they warned you might. You wandered into my dream the other night - defintely been thinking of you lots. I don't recall the dream other than you were a customer in the pancake restaurant me and my "dream" husband had just opened up. I don't mean "dream" husband as in "fantasy husband" mind you...just some guy who was apparently my husband but it wasn't the real guy I happen to be married to. You follow me? Anyway - it was good to see you. Thanks for coming. Hope you enjoyed the pancakes - ha! Hugs, Temple

PS - What is Tab talking about - what 3 hairs?! Havaga havaga havaga...

I meant I never realized there were three ways to spell hear - hair and here. They all sound they same and how confusing that would be for a first grader.....Colby is always saying that doesn't make any sense. Do you git it?

Laura - I hope you are feeling well and that's why you haven't been blogging. Can't wait for an update!!!
