Feeling so much better

Today my very best friend Laura, is coming into town to spend the weekend with me from Cali while my hot, redneck, UF crazy, Architect husband heads to Bristol to watch the NASCAR race. Even Sammy enjoys watching Jimmy Johnson whip around the track. Since i am feeling almost normal it should be lots of fun.

Then on Monday the vicious cycle starts all over again. I start with some blood work to see how my white blood cells are doing, next i see the Medical Oncologist, then finally i head down into the dungeon for several hours of fun filled chemo. Laura will be with me so at least i will be in good company. Then we are going to get me a "Lola" wig. I will have to post some pictures.

Have a great weekend and will check back in on Monday

I guess Travis will be wearing the required clothing for the race, right? ... the wife beater tshirt and the miller high life ball cap. Does the new Accord have the Dale Earnhardt forever sticker on the back? I don't remember.
Anyhow, I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and that your friend is coming into town.
I hope the next round of chemo goes well. Stay strong.

See you soon.

well everyone, I'm here and laura looks great and is in great spirits. she's taking a nap right now, and so is gavin... on my lap! (I did't want him to cry and wake laura up if I put him to sleep in his crib.) Sam is playing down at the neighbor's house. by the way fedex guy, I met your wife and son. they're great! laura, travis, sam & gavin are so lucky to have friends like

you. (apparently there's a word limit on this thing!) I'm going to go now, since I've been typing forever (it takes a long time to do it one-handed). I'm also going to try to put gavin in his crib. wish me luck...

Laura:
Sorry my attempts at humor have been missing. I took the young and the restless camping this past week. Good luck on Monday.

Now about this "Lola" wig: OMG! The ones I googled looked either like a stripper (yeah, baby) or Bjork. One choice might fire up baldy Travis. The other looks like day-old cotton candy. I shudder to combine the two. What happened to good ole' nylon Tina Turner Thunderdome hair? Now we have to name our scalp pelt? Lola? How about LOL? You know I'm kidding. Just get a Davy Crockett hat and you're good to go. Maybe Fed Ex guy can get you a deal on shipping. Mike?

Bueller, Bueller? Represent, people. This was round one. Score: Laura-one, cancer-nada/zero/zilcho.

Good luck with your treatment. Just don't let them give it to the wrong Laura. You must be much faster in your marathons without the hair slowing you down. You don't need a long luxurious coif to look beautiful.
